Itinerary

• Tiananmen Square + Forbidden City + Jinshan Park
plus Jingshan Park (Coal Hill)
• Lunch and make dumplings in a Family Courtyard Home
Learn to make Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) in a traditional style family courtyard home before eating them as part of your lunch. Best done either before or after a Hutong Tour.
• Hutong Tour + Cycle Rickshaw Ride + Go up Drum Tower
Be driven around the old alleyways (hutongs) in a cycle rickshaw. You stop at a traditional courtyard home for a cup of tea and get a historic view of hutong life. Also includes a visit to the Bell Tower with panoramic views of old Beijing.
• Olympic Green - Outside View of Venues
Walk on the Olympic Green and view the Swim Cube and the Bird's Nest from the outside. This does not include an inside visit to venues.

• Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way
First walk the Sacred Way then visit the underground Ding tomb or the Chang Ling Tomb (above ground). Your choice. Fits in with a trip to the wall. If you go in the morning look at our Ming Tombs lunch options.
• Buffet Dinner + Full Body Massage + Spa Baths
Start off with luxurious baths. Also you may steam or sauna. This is followed by a 50 minute full body massage or foot massage in a private room (normally 2 guests per room). Then enjoy a buffet dinner including seafood, salads, Chinese dishes and standard soft drinks or beer. We have carefully selected this spa for quality and service. Frequented by Chinese this is not a tourist destination.

• Panjiayuan Weekend Market
Probably the most authentic local market of the lot, vendors from all over China sell their wares which span an amazing array. Best Saturday and Sunday mornings.
• Flexible Lunch - standard level
Your choice which can be planned with your guide on the go: Standard Chinese, Western fast food (McDonald's, KFC or Subway), Chinese dumplings, vegetarian fare, Sichuan spicy or Muslim Chinese. Depending on your location in Beijing, not all these choices may be available.
• Summer Palace
The Emperor and his imperial court left the Forbidden City each summer to take up residence in the Summer Palace to escape the heat. This purpose built resort is two-thirds water containing Kunming Lake. You can stroll the banks of the lake and enjoy the pavilions, palaces and terraces. If you have time, a boat ride is included.
• Walk Shop and Dine at Houhai to Nanluoguxiang Area (meal not included)

DAY 4 :  beijing
  • Morning in the Park
Chinese culture is on display in the morning. See tai chi and numerous other activities which Chinese participate in to stay young and healthy. A great start to the day.
• Temple of Heaven wangfujing street
The Temple of Heaven complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest. The north/south walk goes through park and historic monuments.

• Peking Duck
Sliced duck carved at your table. Roll it in a little tortilla with cucumber, onion and plum sauce and eat. Enjoy side dishes as well.
