Suzhou was founded in 514 B.C, famous for its classical Chinese gardens, ancient canals and brilliant silk production.
Zhouzhuang the water town is well preserved over the past 900 years, renowned for its century-old houses, stone arched bridged over the flowing streams and canals.
This one-day weekend leisure is certainly worth your time and bucks.

Itinerary

DAY 1 : Daily. (LD)
	Our guide and van will pick you up at your door (or hotel in downtown Shanghai). Then transfer to Suzhou. Your first excursion today is Lingering Garden (one of Chinese Four Famous Gardens, world heritage), walk along the Great Canal (the start point of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal that witnessed the most prosperous Tang Dynasty in history), the Old City Gate. Visit a silk factory. After lunch, transfer to Zhouzhuang water town, here you will experience gondola rowing by your own hands. Transfer back to Shanghai.
