The Lesser Three Gorges refers to the three separate valleys of the Daning river with the names of Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These three gorges lie on the lower reaches of the Daning. Here sheer cliffs and steep mountains rise on either side.
This is one of the more spectacular trips, with rushing blue water, terraced landscapes to be destroyed, monkeys, hanging coffins and men with poles pushing you through the rapids.
